Album Notes

Jason Roberts hails from Nottingham, UK where he was part of a pop-rock band called The Essentials. After moving to Atlanta, GA, Jason hooked up with Brian Mobley to form a folk-rock group called The Diamond Geezers.

Jason, Brian and Andy Robinson formed Fisheye in mid-2007 after several years of monthly \"guitar nights\" where they honed their skills covering many of their favorite songs.

The nationally renown Eddie\'s Attic Songwriter\'s open mic was the initial target. So Jason, Brian and Andy began writing songs, did a few open mics, including several at Eddie\'s Attic, and soon began regularly playing venues in the Atlanta area.

In early-2008, Doug Ward was welcomed into the Fisheye fold. Doug is a veteran of several bands in the San Diego, CA area.

Bigger Than Your Head is the 15 song (13 new and 2 golden oldies) culmination of Jason\'s, Brian\'s and Andy\'s songwriting efforts and many recording sessions between January and August 2008.

fisheye atlanta - bigger than your head

Fisheye’s songs are about situations and emotions listeners can readily relate to, and make total sense in the way the stories unfold. The music isn’t just catchy; it’s downright infectious. You are drawn in by the music, and held captive by the lyrics. You *think* you understand what the song is about, but wait… is that what it’s really about? You listen again, and again… and again. Only then do you begin to appreciate the depth of the colors Fisheye paints with their music. Lyrically, musically, rhythmically, every way, they have a formula that works and works well. I myself am a musician, and love this CD so much that I had to share with friends, both musician and non-musician. I bought several, and here are some of the reactions: “Their music touches my soul and speaks to my spirit”; “It’s so easy to listen to, just beautiful”; “ What a professionally produced CD!”; “It’s calming and reassuring, can’t explain why exactly”; “Great to listen to for a slice of life.”
