From the Depths of the lost within the Northeast Ohio Metal Scene comes Fisticuff. Based in Akron, Ohio, Fisticuff is a metal band that has evolved to a new culture of music full of aggression and intensity. Fisticuff has created a style of music that is inspired by goals that cannot be reached and the beaten that wont stay down. As physically demanding as it is intense, Fisticuff sounds like a cross breed of Sepultura, Pantera, Fear Factory, and Slipknot. Using these elements of bark style vocals and Soothing harmonies with technical speed and dark grooves. The aggression is backed with fast double kicks and combines it with rhythmically syncopated riffs and intensified sound. Dark natured, it expresses the hatred spurned by the tortured and the tormented. Inspired by these voices that stir the blood, Fisticuff sees things in a different light. With songs such as Broke, God Help Me, and Yellow and Red, Fisticuff writes about corruption, Mind on the brink of self distruction and displacent cries for help. The music comes with a crushing sound and quick time changes with a groove that stays constant throughout chaotic transitions and odd time signatures.
