Born Fitzroy Edwards, Edi Fitzroy has been making conscious reggae music since the late seventies. His first recording was "Molly Collie" produced by the late Mikey "Dread At The Controls" Campbell. His early influences were Jacob Miller, Bob Marley, and Peter Tosh. This is a collection of his works with producer Trevor "The Musical Ambassador" Elliott.Included in this collection are some of his biggest hits, "Check For You Once", "The Gun", "Princess Black", "First Class Citizen", "Youthman Penitentiary" and "African Queen". Pay close attention to remixed versions of "Youthman Penitentiary" and "African Queen". Reggae fans the world over can now download all these memorable songs from one source. Mr. Fitzroy's music has stood the test of time. The messages in his songs are still relevant today, many years after they were originally recorded. Kudos to The Musical Ambassador and others responsible for compiling this massive collection of hits.

The Best of Edi Fitzroy - the Musical Ambassador Years
author: Mama ASID - BadGalsRadio.com
getting my pre release copy started a weeklong party in our office. the tunes that we usually play from foundation artists, are often the old volumes on vinyl; not usually cd's.
This is the best of the best. General Fitzroy calls the troops to attention once more in this perfect compilation of hits.
The Musical Ambassador Years are the best source of hits, from Edi Fitzroy. his collaborations with Trevor "Musical Ambassador" Elliott led to global cultural recognition for Edi Fitzroy and MusicalAmbassador.com over their 20+ year association.
This cd flashes hit after hit, and memory after memory. bringing back the turbulant 80's and Jamaica's Dominance in the Reggae Market with Foundation Sounds.
Youthman Penitentiary is the clarion call that rings out again today - beckoning the youth to step away from the gun and shotta game; and evolve to become the teachers and leaders of the nation.
My personal favorite African Queen, gives us a taste of the softer side of General Fitzroy. his lamentation to his beautiful queens to hold up their heads and be proud, could have just been released today.
strong roots melodies, original rhythms and the top of the top of Jamaica's Musical Fraternity make this a "Must Have" for all true Roots Reggae Fans.
Get It Today. This cd confirms that Edi Fitzroy; is still Reggaes' "Mr First Class Citizen" inna this time.
