Summer 2001: Six friends found themselves together on stage at an open mic. The intense energy and free form funk jams experienced that night inspired these friends to put this energy and music to work. The project was called Five Day 40.
In one short year together, these six friends have created a music style all their own. Drawing inspiration from an array of musical influences including (but not limited to) funk, jazz, hip hop, soul and rock n' roll, the members of Five Day 40 have devoted their energy to writing and performing original music in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. With the release of debut album the band looks forward to bringing their music to as many people as possible.
Look also for a new 3 or 4 song EP coming out in the fall or winter.
Some comments from fans: "I have never seen this bar rock like this..." "I have never danced so hard, I'm sweating my @#* off!!" "We were the old people in the back of the room and we loved it" "Where do you guys get all that energy?!" "Just when I thought you guys had sounded as good as ever, you came back the next night and blew the roof off the place!!!"
Hope you enjoy the CD. Thank you.

I LOVE THE FIVE DAY FORTY CD HERE, IT IS AN AWSOME ALBUM.
EVERY SONG SEEMS TO BE LYRICS OF TAKING A STAND FOR WHAT THE GROUP BELIEVES IN. A GREAT DOWN TO EARTH GROUP AND SOUND. BRAVO.
