Album Notes

Flash Gordon's Adventures is an exciting acoustic adventure. It is very unique and wonderful new music. Featuring Flash on vocals, flute & saxophone with Glenn Smith on guitars & harmonica (on one track), Glenn Stevenson on upright bass, Doug Williams on percussion & Hill Abrahams on violin & viola, this "group" combines Flash's poignant lyrics with an acoustic musical hybrid.

Flash's musical tastes run from A to Z, that is, from Louis Armstrong to Frank Zappa. This means whatever is performed or recorded by this talented ensemble will be difficult to label but enjoyable to listen to and experience. Some disc jockeys in Tampa Bay have compared the sound to late '60s Folk Rock groups like Pentangle & It's A Beautiful Day.

Flash's favorite artist is David Bowie so there might even be a little Bowie influenced music at the core. However you hear it, I think you will find Flash Gordon's Adventures to be "Artful Acoustic Music" that is danceable, upbeat at the same time it is thought provoking and soothing.

The album "GOOD" features the quintet with several special guests including Prem Joshua on sitar & Manish Vyas on tablas on the song "Smile". Unique instrumentation & wonderful vocals that will make you smile and get you feeling good.
