FLATLINE is a masterful joining of musical ideas from backgrounds that span the country and has combined influences that run the metal gamut from Slayer to Metallica to Pantera.

Lead vocalist Travis Johnson hails from a world of pain and determination. Playing in a varied array of group settings his whole life, this Los Angeles natives hauntingly personal lyrics and powerful delivery give Flatline it's unrivaled edge.

Jason Thompson, a 15 year veteran of the axe from Frazier Park, CA, brings not only his songwriting, backing vocal and guitar talents, but a drive destined to carry Flatline far. Although his metal tendencies are deeply rooted, Thompson has influences in a variety of musical genres. Lead guitarist Randy Weitzel, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has played guitar for over 15 years. From speed thrash metal to elaborate acoustic arrangements, Weitzel continues honing his self-taught skills while contributing to Flatline's powerful sound.

Bassist Adam Anaya began playing bass at a time when thrash was again taking hold of the music world. Anaya, who hails from Santa Fe, New Mexico, shares the song-writing duties and adds his inspired technique to the rhythm section.

Rounding out Flatline's sound is the tight precision of drummer Tim Hassemer, a native of Espanola, New Mexico. Hassemer strives to develop a distinctly different musical voice from what is already known, and with Flatline he brings a dynamic that is the perfect compliment to the soul of Flatline's music.

Flatline's crowd-pleasing sound is a magical coupling of solid bass and guitar riffs, frenzied double bass, and hauntingly personal lyrics complimented by a brutal vocal execution.

Flatline is unlike any band out of LA in recent years and Massive Aggressive is a rarity in this day of drop tuning and one finger chords. Flatline is real metal and are guaranteed to garner a huge following.
