Album Notes

This is the first CD that Kathy recorded. It is a blend of folk/blues influence. The recording was done by the fabulous Rose Gargiulo (currently one of the masterminds behind WIMS - the Women's Independent Music Show and All About Eve Media Services) at her house. It features some wonderful guitar work by Rose herself as well as Delta Blues player, John the Cop Eischen, and blues/jazz/rock drummer, Frank Binger, who currently plays drums for Jr. Drinkwater.
The title and first song, "Speaking Guillotine" is about cutting people up with words. "Down Syndrome" is a blues song and play on words written after a particularly depressing gig. "Manhattan" is about John Lennon.
Enjoy!

REVIEWS

LISTEN TO THE WORDS AND MUSIC!!
author: AZJOHN
Wow, I am not sure that I agree with the previous reviewer's statement that Kathy's music puts one in a different world of reality. I think her lyrics and music awaken me to my current world of reality. We all live in different worlds? Kathy's lyrics seem to address personal subjects that are timely and timeless for today's age. Further, she has put a super band together to complement her wonderful vocals. The production of the the tunes on the recordings are top rate. I can listen to her tunes/lyrics and hear/learn new things each time I listen. I am thinking that I can do this because of the way the CD is produced. I have not experienced it since following some folk/rock performers in the the late '60's and early '70's, live. I had to keep listening. It is rare for me to hear a production with the obvious quality of her her CD's. The recordings here are no exception.

Listen closely to the words!
author: Angie
I feel like I am in a different world of reality when I listen to Kathy's music. There is such depth to her lyrics. I love how she calmly sings the blues of circumstances that is so unavoidable because of the inability of others to control their passion for her.
