Unresolved Has Taken a New Place in My Playlist+++++
author: AZJOHN
My first review of this CD was put together just after receiving and listening to it. Some months later, I can't get Kathy's tunes out of my mind. Very timely lyrics for our today age.
I have always been a folkie. (Anyone recall Woody Guthrie,The Weavers, Steve Goodman, Ken Holstein,Claudia Schmidt,Larry Rand?) Good guitar work and of course, Kathy's vocals are beyond belief on this CD.
This CD is an important work that needs to be archived in everone's collection. We also need to hear more music from Kathy!!!

NEW FOLK? (Nothing like Joni or Joan)
author: AZJOHN
Some other reviewers compared Kathy's CD here to Joni M. and Joan B. I do not aggree. Kathy's lyrics, style and vocal range are not comparable. Her vocal range on the CD does not even come close to those gals in their younger days. One needs not make that comparison. Kathy does her own thing on this CD. No comparison can be made. Check out track 11.
I am giving a 5 star rating to the CD because of Kathy's lyrics, strength of voice, content of lyrics and versatility. I am only on my 3rd listen. I am thinking my fave track is 6 or 8. I am not sure about that because her lyrics are too great on every track. Then there is track 9.

Sounds Like BUT Unique
author: Paul Langley
This is a great album. YES Kathy sounds like Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez and the fourth track (14th Floor) sounds a bit like Kate Bush in several places BUT Kathy has a unique sound of her own that comes through on every track. Especially beautiful and haunting is the first track "Eyes Like Natalie Wood".
The lyrics are as poetic as any song written by Joni Mitchell or Laura Nyro. If you are into poetic lyrics as much as I am than I am confident that you will LOVE this album and Kathy's other albums.
