Fearless
author: Pat Gannon
Pamela Fleming's sound is sheer beauty and easily merits 5 stars. You can't have a sound like that unless you have given your heart, soul and mind over to playing the trumpet. The grooves are perfect vehicles for her and the band to glide effortlessly along on. I'm not a fan of "smooth jazz" ("jazz" for people who hate jazz) and I wouldn't give Fearless Dreamer a second listen if it were not for it being graced by Pamela's great sound and tunes that communicate an honest feeling. More than just a collection of cool grooves Fearless Dreamer portrays a band that flows together because it feels right doing what it's doing. A beautiful dream in itself.
