Chicago born singer songwriter Fleming Robinson is offering an eclectic taste of soul in this new artistic birth. With the help of Ollie Elder , his co- producer, this music is provocative and heartfelt. The lyrics are intuitive and seem to be written for you and only you.
It is obvious from the time you hear him sing the first note that he is no stranger to the language of love. He honed his style in the R&B roots of the Windy City while playing and singing background vocals for the cities finest. Working clubs from the time he began high school it wasn’t long before he had covered all of the popular music styles his audiences requested. It was in those years that he began to write. Anyone who knew him then would recall him saying, “I do a decent imitation of _____ but I’m best at doing me.
Playing out the Chicago club scene prompted he and , a band he’d been with for years, to head out to the California to play in the big leagues. A few overseas tours and trips through the states and he settled into the local music scene.
Fleming has three previous projects to date, The Blusicians (a group project), Emotional Architecture, and Black Knight and Moonlight.
But for sure this one is different. The production and arrangements are inspired by an exceptional group of musicians. Ollie Elder’s production touch is as steady and sure as his bass playing.
