Fletcher is a Los Angeles based band formed around songs written by Johnny Bennett. Their first CD, Demonstrations of False Momentum, is now on sale. Producers Chris Julian (De La Soul), Jeff O'Rourke (Phunk Junkies), Tom Hughes and Sean Dever all took swings on the CD. This is a combination of four main sessions the main one of which was at Jeff O'Rourkes Rourketown Studios in Northridge, CA.(see the April 2003 edition of MIX Magazine page 17) Fletcher covers modern rock with traces of Acoustic Soul.
The band has been in rehearsals for upcoming recording sessions. Look for a new CD sometime in the Spring.
Fletcher was selected by AMP energy drink from Mountain Dew for its upcoming promo CD to college radio.

A new band from L.A. that is creating quite a buzz around Hollywood!
author: SoCal RocksThe new Fletcher CD Demonstrations of False Momentum is electric / acoustic rock but with a twist... it has meaningful lyrics that aren't whiney! Real stuff about real life you can relate to with excellent musicianship. John Bennet is severely talented and is finally getting his due with a band after previous solo succes. Highly recommended.
