Flight of Fire is a female dominated rock band formed at Berklee College of Music. Equipped with a vivacious lead vocalist, belting beautiful melodies with power and passion; identical twin sisters wailing electrifying solos on the lead guitar and holding down those nasty grooves on the electric bass; and a man of mind-blowing talent, pounding on the drums with vigor and keeping the pocket tight, Flight of Fire's shades of rock will never bore and will always satisfy.
Shatter The Sky is Flight of Fire's sophomore album, produced two years after their first album, Ascended From Ashes, which was released in 2011. Shatter The Sky takes FoF's music to the next level - incorporating the members' Berklee education in all aspects of songwriting, arranging, orchestration, recording and production, as well as instrumental and vocal technique. Their sound ranges from upbeat hard rock, to symphonic rock inspired by folk and metal, and emotional ballads. As ever, Flight of Fire's uplifting and dramatic lyrical style is intended to inspire courage and positive change in their listeners and in the world.
Out Of The Silence, the first single off of Shatter The Sky, is a multiple contest-winning song: Its success has lead to Flight of Fire winning the chance to be featured in the Women Musicians Network 16th Annual Concert, and, more recently, Flight of Fire’s submission of Out Of The Silence beat out 60 other bands in the 2013 Fox Rocks Detroit Contest, earning Flight of Fire the opportunity to open for Bon Jovi and The J. Geils Band at Ford Field in Detroit on July 18th, 2013. Their performance, in front of thousands of people, has propelled their career into the view of the public.
The Tapestry Suite is the finale piece of Shatter The Sky - its corresponding music video, featuring Flight of Fire recording the Suite in-studio, can be viewed on YouTube on the Flightoffiremusic channel. This final track is a grand weaving of all the songs on the record, containing recognizable themes and progressions from each track. As a band, Flight of Fire writes and performs in multiple genres and between genres, and each song has its own unique style and spirit. This melding of sounds from across categories of music inspires a feeling of unity, despite perceived differences. In The Tapestry Suite, the girls call upon their classical training and their experience playing multiple instruments to create a unique sound, melding their skills as composers with their passion for rock.
Wherever music takes you, Flight of Fire's powerful sounds, honest lyrics and virtuosic playing will lift you to new heights and leave you inspired to continue your journey.
