Pete Lawrence - The Big Chill

"EXTREMELY CHILLED! - BASED AROUND MELLOW PADS, SOFT BEATS AND GENTLY PLAYED GUITARS - A NAME TO WATCH OUT FOR"
Phil Mison - Muzik

"THE FLIPSIDE DEBUT IS A WONDERFUL JOURNEY THROUGH WARM WATER, SILKY SAND AND A COOL BREEZE THAT TAKES YOU ALL THE WAY TO NANGIJALA...."
DJ Babyhands (Sweden)

"Inside" is the widely expected follow-up to the successful Flipside promotion EP released in the summer of 2002. When Flipside's EP was launched as a promo CD in July 2002 on Ibiza, it quickly made its way up the local café charts being played over and over around sunset. Especially café Mambo, Coastline Café and café Savannah played a big part in making Flipside the music of choice at sundown. Café del Mar resident Bruno Lepetré charted 'Relief' as a no. #2 on his top 10 play list and also Pete Lawrence from the Big Chill UK has featured Flipside on his playlist several times since November 2002.

As a result of the massive succes of the EP Flipside has been featured on several chill-out compilations like Real Ibiza vol.6 (React/UK), Cassagranda vol.III.(Cassagrande/Spain) The history of Chill Out (Warner Dance/UK) Les ambassadeurs (Universal/Germany) The Skylounge (Watermusic/USA)

Klaus Bau
Klaus being from Denmark was one of 3 producers behind the Danish ambient/chill-out project 'Bliss'. 'Bliss' achieved a top 12 spot on the Danish national chart with their album 'Afterlife'. In the same magazine the album reached the no. # 5 spot in the 'Best down tempo albums of the year' category.

Sebastian Lilja
Sebastian from Sweden has been working in the music business for many years as a studio musician, singer and songwriter. Sebastian holds a degree from 'The Music College' in Helsingborg. Saw these guys live a couple of weeks ago at a festival when the Sun was setting and had a 'warm and fuzzy' moment. The CD re-creates those warm and fuzzy moments 100%.

Why is Inside not on top of the Editors Picks?
author: Budro
Why is this CD not pinned at the top of the Editors Picks for the Ambient section!?!?!?! This is the smoothest CD I have heard since the early Fourplay albums. I can't stop playing this CD at work, in the car and at home. Heck, even my cube-mates at work always request that I play this CD. With a sultry acoustic guitar backed up by simple clean beats and the organ has this constant sutained vibrato, what an excellent combination.... very orignal sound IMO. The 5th track Outside picks up the pace a bit but is restrained enough not to sound out-of-place with the rest of this CD. Awesome job Flipside!!!! Looking forward to the next album.
