Album Notes

The release of the band's acoustic record, "Acoustics" marks the beginning of a new sound for Floater. Fans of Floater's electric shows will definitely appreciate the raw emotion captured in this release.
The album was recorded and produced with D.A.X. at Leialohapomaikai'nani Studios in Tacoma, Washington. Moving into a hardwood ballroom that had been converted into a studio, the group worked to make the album without digital editing to capture the fresh, live feeling of the bands natural acoustic sound.

Floater never ceases to amaze me. Every album has some new kick ass ear candy to enjoy, but Acoustics showcases their talents at such a intimate level. Absolutely fantastic work. Plus, these guys are very down to earth. They'll put on one hell of a show, then have drinks with you afterwards. FLOATER!

I have been listening to Floater for 10 years. I love Angels, Glyph, Sink, Burning, and all live albums. This album diplays the deversity they can acheive. It shows there growth from sink to present. I still long for their heavier songs but there is nothing like sitting on the couch on a rainy day with some Nag Champa burning and listening to this album.
