ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Flood was a refreshingly original five-piece pop rock band from North Carolina. Fronted by lead singer and chief songwriter, Bill West, the band formed in the late Fall of 2001 to record a few of Bill's songs and instead - produced one of the top twenty best albums of 2002 as voted and rated by Triad Style Magazine based in Greensboro NC. The band entered the studio after only two weeks together with producer and engineer Thomas Johnson whose credits include Jane's Addiction, Rancid, Porno for Pyros, The Wallflowers, and many more.

The Flood took great pride in the art of song crafting. If you enjoy the sounds of Sting, The Samples, Bruce Hornsby, Seal, Coldplay, and U2- then you will understand and enjoy The Flood. This self-titled self released debut featured 5 brilliant songs. It is currently no longer in stock but the songs can be purchased through i-tunes as well as many other digital download services offered through CD Baby. You can also visit www.billwest.tv to purchase not only these songs but many more from Bill West. Check out "Rearrange Me" and the beautiful "Borrow My Eyes".
Clicking on "The Flood" web site link to the left will take you straight to Bill West's new page.

This CD is awesome!! The touching lyrics let you experience what the writer was feeling and the fresh and catchy tunes keep you listening. I have all of my family and friends addicted to this CD and Field Trip. Can't wait for the next album.

This is one CD that is ALWAYS in my car.
I first was introduced to this band and CD via Guilford College's wonderful station WQFX-FM (90.9 FM Greensboro). I got to hear the inspiration directly from the talented (and super nice) musicians, which made me appreciate the music and lyrics even more. This is one CD that is ALWAYS in my car. Each of the 5 songs is very strong and it always leaves me wanting to hear more. Rearrange Me (a great dance tune to boot) and Twelve Laces are my personal favorite cuts. These songs performed live are even more awesome. Their follow up CD, Field Trip, is also worth a listen!

One of the best undiscovered albums and talents out there right now!
I first read about this CD when it was voted one of the top best 20 in Greensboro (NC). I decided to check it out and I have been attached to this CD ever since. Rearrange Me and Borrow My Eyes need to be on the radio. Thank you guys for putting out a high quality product filled with integrity (for a change). Buyers, you will not be sorry you picked this one up!
