Album Notes

Floyd has been playing guitar and writing songs for over thirty years. His song library includes freak out psychedelic rock to old school country, gospel and blues. With a thousand awesome songs under his belt, he has plenty of material to rock with, and the songs keep coming. Right now he is a one-man band, and has recently released his newest album "Like a Horse". Floyd played all the instruments, did all the vocals and recorded and mixed a killer album. "Like a Horse" was recorded in an old converted studio in an alley in West Texas. Floyd's songs speak to people and he has been well received by audiences throughout the years. He is looking for recognition as a songwriter and also as a live musician. The song "Big Butt Baby" is being recorded and released by musician Joseph Clark, in South Africa. He is recording his next album; "Spoils of War" and it will be released in November 2005.

REVIEWS

Floyd Mezro is an unearthed Texas treasure
author: mike howl
Sure, I'm biased. . .I've known Floyd for about 6 years, met him and his band hand crafting medicine sticks in the vast desert of thought that is Amarillo, TX. The meeting changed my life. The songs on Like a Horse are just a small cross section of Floyd's musical range and vocabulary. He is truly a undiscovered treasure, an American folk master. Buy this cd and hopefully he'll make another.
