It has been a long time since I have been able to listen to an entire Hip Hop/Rap CD in one sitting. Most of the music out now sounds like noise or sounds like someone else: “copycat music”. And out of an entire CD, one track may be the bomb. Biggie died, Tupac died, Bad Boy is not as hot as they used to be and Jay-Z retired. With the demise of hip-hop, what else was there to listen to? All that was left were the people that used to be here. Most of today’s music is so “over sampled” that it sounds like pure noise and is hardly worth the price of the CD.


Wake Up Call: FLUX: MOONSHINE takes us back to what we have been missing. Similar to no one today, in my opinion, it is like a “say what you feel and have fun doing it” type of music”. ALPHA and BETA are two people not to be held back or forced to change their music to sound or be like someone else. FLUX is helping to fill the music void that has been left WIDE OPEN. It is quite difficult to put FLUX in a musical category because of their lyrical style and technique. They cannot be considered strictly rap because rap is just music. They cannot be listed in sub-categories such as “gangsta rap”. 


MOONSHINE has the perfect mix of party music (“DA PARTY”), thinking music (“WHAT’S LUV”, CHOICES”, “AFTA A WHILE”), fun music (“DROP IT LIKE IT’S HOT”), real music (“MC’N”, “BARRACUDA”), shake ya ass music (“NON-STOP”, “SOUL CLAP”); music to enjoy. In other words, REAL HIP-HOP!
