In the early 80's he met different musicians in the area of Brescia and Bergamo, where he moved to teach. In 1995 he recorded Sunny, his first Cd (New Age) with the percussion Gaspare Bonafede. Later, he formed Gianni Bergamaschi Trio with the drum Sergio Mazzei and the bass Mauro Sereno; they performed together in many local clubs. He experimented the relationships between literature and music taking part to some Literary Festivals. In 1997 he joined the Gruppo Musicale Effatà from Sarnico (Bergamo) and he recorded with them in 1999 Navidad en Verano based on Ramirez music and some of his own pieces, and in 2005 Witness (Jazz, Blues, Gospel). In 1998 his Jazz Trio took successfully part to the VII International Convention ADGPA (Atkins Dadi Guitar Player Association) held in Soave. In 1999 with the bass Marco Gamba he presented in Soave a seminar on jazz composition and improvisation. In the following years he took actively part to ADGPA Conventions contributing with publications on jazz guitar teaching methods.
