Album Notes

The Freaks have been playing every Sunday evening for the last 5 years at the Laurelthirst Pub in Portland, Oregon. The patrons call it church. The latest of their 4 CDs, entitled CHURCH, is a live recording of one of those shows (November 19, 2003). The energy captured on this CD comes from both band and audience, and the performance makes it clear why the FMR tribe has grown large and enthusiastic in the Pacific Northwest. Currently, the Freaks don't travel much. Somewhere down the line, they may get out, but as of now, this is the only way for non-Oregonians to hear them live, in the environment where their music was grown.
