Album Notes

John Fitzsimmons has been performing for children for some 25 years, and now along with Seth Connelly and Pat "Hatrack" Gallagher, they have compiled a collection of the "greatest camp songs of all time". Let this CD bring you back to the days of your own childhood summers, and get your own children singing and clapping along to these "wicked good singalongs".

"John Fitzsimmons, Seth Connelly and Hatrack Gallagher, of the Massachusetts based group The Folk Tradition, believe that their music is good music--whether you're 3 or 103. Their new album Campfire The Greatest Camp Songs of All Time proves this by offering 12 songs that kids can listen to again and again without parents having to resort to losing the CD "accidentally on purpose."
Packed with such standards as "All God's Critters," "The Unicorn Song" and "Kumbaya," this Cd is sure to get the little ones excited while bringing parents back to their own camp days.
With banjo, guitar and comfortable tenor voices, it will be all you can do to resist breaking out the marshmallows and flashlights when you play it. Plus there's plenty of laughs to be had here--from the song about the darn cat who just keep scoming back to "Ratlin' Bog" which challenges listeners to remember an ever increasing list of things while the tempo gets faster and faster. Try singing it inthe car without dissolving into giggles."

Every Child Will Love this CD
author: Shelby
As a camper at Camp Sewataro back in the early 80's, I learned all these great songs! Then as a counselor, again at Sewataro in the early 90's, it all came back to me. These are the songs that you'll never forget, there is something for everyone. Who can forget about poor Charlie? Kids will want to listen to the CD and dance to it (it comes with me whenever I go babysitting).
