This unique duo has enraptured audiences throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and San Diego with their mix of Improvisation, Alternative and Eastern styles since 2000. Fontain’s M.U.S.E. has performed for the popular Sonoma County, Health and Harmony Festival as well Techno-Tribal Dance. They have made many friends and fans appearing in their monthly theatrical show with the Magique Bazaar at the Historic Gas Lighter Theater and Morgan Hill Playhouse. Recently, at the Bala Yoga, a well-known Hollywood dance hall and health center they enchanted a full house of adoring fans. This dynamic duo’s live performances can include synchronized acrobats, magicians, stilt walkers, and muses of all sorts given the venue opportunities. A local favorite among belly dance schools, their performances always inspire the audience to join-in the fun and creativity.

Fontain Riddle: Spirited vocalist, songwriter and instrumentalist Fontain Riddle combines cultures, dreams and a keen interpretation of life’s experiences to evolve her music. Her inspiration comes from eastern philosophy, politics, dancers, jazz, friends, books, even lusty love experiences. Having been raised in the internationally diverse Washington D.C. area, Fontain’s early musical influences were formed by the close bonds she made with several Indian and Pakistani neighbors who played Indian classical and folk music at family gatherings.

She went on to perform professionally through high school at local Sarasota jazz cafes and restaurants. After earning her BFA from Ringling School of Art, she toured nationally performing for audiences throughout 46 States and internationally, including countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and France. She returned state side to earn her masters and through a grand note of synchronicity she met Farhan Khan during music engineering class and the story continues…

Farhan Khan: Beat and groove producer Farhan Khan is originally from Karachi, Pakistan. He plays sitar, guitar and bass guitar fluently. His unique style has created a perfect balance between East and West for Fontain’s M.U.S.E. with his intense dance grooves, and multinational instrumentation captivating the modern listener. He is a sitar student of the internationally famous Habib Khan and is a graduate of Musicians Institute in Hollywood California and has earned his BA in music engineering from Cogswell College in Sunnyvale California. East meets West in the left and right hands of Farhan Khan and the story continues…

Their collaboration and creation, Mystic Kiss is a blend of diverse styles including world-beat, new age, pop, electronica and jazz. Like Gypsies, each track travels to an exotic horizon and exposes the listener to a unique sonic experience that is both powerful and soothing. Radiating with hypnotic lyrical themes and infectious melody hooks that span the spectrum of spiritual, thought-provoking, psychedelic, move your body experience!

1. Sacred Geometry: ~Read the book Sacred Geometry. This song is devoted to the numerous engineers who are also numerologists, new age spiritualists and astrologers living and practicing their arts in the San Francisco Bay area. danceable electric groove, guitar, tabla, keyboard, bass Vocals: English/Arabic chants.

3. Witch Fire: ~Three generations of women healing artists are accused of witchcraft. One at a time they are taken to the campfire called the Inquisition; first the grandmother, the mother and then lastly the daughter. The song is written in the point of view of the daughter who believes the three bond together with the element of fire and will exact revenge. As her soul is rising from the flames, she believes there is more power in forgiveness than revenge. Flowing grooves, guitar, keys, bass, vocals in English.

4. Ghost: ~Inspired by the South East Asian Festival of the Hungry Ghost. Jazz, tabla, sitar, bass. vocals: English.

5. Tatu: ~A song to get a tattoo by. On a dare and a whim lovers go to get a tattoo parlor. She teases that they are a bit too fond of the pain and have and unexpected sensual experience together. Do they get addicted? Electric grooves sitar, guitar vocals in English.

6. Le Miroir: ~A woman gazes into the mirror and remembers her enchanting lover whose colorful stories inspire her to dream, sing, write, and paint. Jazz, tabla, sitar, bass. Vocals: French and English.

7. Warrior: ~A warrior is at the end of his life in the battlefield as the angel of peace is comforting him on his journey. Folk, Sacred, live drum, tabla, acoustic guitar, bass, in English semi-political. Slow dance~ ceremonial

10. Fire Trance: ~A young, innocent women is seduced by fire spirits. She is hypnotized by the flame. They want her to join them in their little evil games. She enters the fire and because her spirit is strong and pure, the spirits join her and do her bidding. Electronic grooves, guitar, tablas, vocals in English, Urdu, ~Live we do this song in Spanish. It takes on a whole new spirit in Spanish.

11. Pearl Melody: ~Inspired by Rumi, the metaphor of spiritual ecstasy and drunken love lust is the basis of this song as is the poetry of Rumi.
