Fooled by April lives by ringing pop guitars, a steady beat, and supple vocals on its eponymous CD. The closest thing to slowing down the enthusiastic rock is the thoughtful – but still powerful – “Nice to See You” that combines melancholy and promise. “Superstar Okay” is the best of the batch, a rocking and evocative paean to music with this great guitar riff. “Come in, Chicago” is a close second, a tune that could have been overly-cute with its radio catchphrase, but is rescued by its infectious beat.

Fabulous Songs, Great Beer!

Gordon Wright, the lead singer of Fooled by April, played a solo gig in Harrogate England in September 2006 in which he focused very much on playing the absolutely fabulous songs from this CD. After every song the crowd bayed for more, as most were fans and they knew what delights were still to be played! The venue sold out of beer and the gig will be remembered in town for years. Greatest band I've ever heard!

I absolutely love this cd! These guys are, in my opinion, the best band I've ever listened to. The lyrics are just fantastic, ranging from "I can't quit singing this" (New Song) to "How great was that song?" (Nice to See You). My only regret is not finding out about FxA sooner!

One of the Top 5 CD's purchased in my life !

I bought this cd for the sole pupose of the song "Nice to See You" but the rest of this album kicks collective ass around almost all other artists out there. I rave to all my friends and they ask who the group is every time they ride w/me as the cd hasn't left my car in weeks. The rest of the collective population needs to jump on this bandwagon.
