This album features music by Portland-
based artists such as Aux 78, the Want Ads, Karyn Ann, Poe & Monroe, Aliza Brinton, Gil Paradise, When the Broken Bow, and more. Many of the tracks were previously unreleased, and a few of the artists - the Beth Willis Rock Band, Larry Yes, Nobody & His Sister, and Bad Girls Records' label founder Amy Bleu - recorded songs specifically for the compilation.
Here is what the press have said about some of the contributing artists:
Amy Bleu - “Her voice is mesmerizing.” - Margaret Coble, Curve Magazine
Larry Yes - “Amazing.” - Portland Mercury
Beth Willis - “She's worth a long listen.” - Oregon Music News
Aux 78 - "Aux.78 is the guise of Nicholas Matta, a Portland-based sound designer par excellence and one of the few people currently finding exciting pathways connecting the worlds of experimental music and plain-spoken pop rock." - Robert Ham, Willamette Week
When the Broken Bow - "Intense, powerful music." - New York Music Daily
All of the proceeds from sales of the album will be donated to Basic Rights Oregon. Previous album sales went to Oregon United for Marriage to aid them in their campaign for marriage equality. For more information, visit OregonUnitedForMarriage.org.
