The crew here at Tom Thumb are proud to announce the release of the debut album 'Skindeep' from Sydney group The Forresters.

The album is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Anthony Bautovich from the trans-Pacific pop ensemble The Orange Humble Band. Joining Anthony on 'Skindeep' are a number of fine players who have 'given' to the sound of this record including Nick Kennedy (Knievel) on drums, Steve Balbi (Universe) on bass, Matt Galvin (Eva Trout, Michael Carpenter's Kings Rd) on guitar and lap steel, and Melbourne based guitarist Charlie Owen (New Christs, Tendrils) on guitar and dobro.

The album has been lovingly mixed by renowned Sydney engineer/producer Wayne Connolly who has recorded and mixed for, amongst others, You Am I and The Vines.

From the opening slice of power pop, 'Are You Ready', to the simple longing of the record's closer 'God Willing,' the album 'Skindeep' spans the musical spectrum from power pop to blues tinged soul, alt country to straight ahead rock 'n' roll.

With tender melodies, wonderful chord progressions, and a command of a particular sound,
The Forresters surrender to these intricately crafted and emotionally honest songs leaving the listener with a warm and satisfying glow. Laden with hooks and harmonies that often reach Byrdsian proportions,'Skindeep' is filled with songs that not only grab a hold of you but refuse to let you go.
