Mid-Ohio Valley musical duo John A. Walsh and David S. George are keeping it real with their latest release "Eon Rising" under their new alias, "The Fossils."
The boys offer up their tunes as the soundtrack for the new dawn of the history yet to be made...this eon rising. The record provides a full spectrum of solid tunes ranging from the driving & powerful "Call Me" to the lilting & beautiful "Lullaby Rain." This is one of those records that just doesn't seem to leave the CD player.
Musical brothers since 1977, John & Dave formed their first band in Junior High along with brother Jeff George and drummer/wildman Dave Zide. That band, "Scenario," was the beginning of a life-long and still strong friendship steeped in music.
John, Dave, and Jeff reunited as "George's Attic" in 1996, after more than a decade of leading different lives in different places. Along with Steve McCarthy on drums, George's Attic released three CDs between 1998 and 2002. The George's Attic chapter came to a close with the release of "Cobalt Blue."
In 2003, Dave and John produced John's solo record "Songbook." Both Songbook & Cobalt Blue are available on CD Baby.
Drummer Dave Turner joined the boys for the majority of the Eon Rising recording. Brother Jeff showed up to lay down the lead guitar tracks (you'll hear Jeff's work exemplified on "Call Me" and "Your Time Has Come" -- smokin!). Several other of John and Dave's musical friends popped in for cameo appearances throughout the album.
John & Dave are pleased to bring you their newest record --

The guys have done it again. John Walsh is a master with word pictures and poignant lyrics! His City On A Hill is a heart puller and the 7th cut, Your Time Has come gives Jeff George the chance to exhibit his versitilty by mastering a blues rendition of lead guitar genius.
I can think of no other group with the versitilty of these musicians that are not world reknowned, and they should be.
For pure musical entertainment, John, Dave, and Jeff cannot be beat.

I love John's music.
I've been following his work and have been a fan for over twenty two years and I think "Eon Rising" is he and the boy's best effort to date. There are up upsides and downsides to becoming a geezer but this album definately proves that "The Fossils" have gotten better with age and can still rock big time . Talent-wise and musically they're at the top of their game, they sound amazing and have come far over the years. These guys have a groove that is just plain sweet to listen to again and again. Don't let the Eagle's/70's rock handle fool you; "The Fossils" have their own unique sound that is timeless and very distinct.
To me, the best part of John's music are his lyrics. He's a poet and his lyrics are intelligent and a true source of inspiration. This album will make you think, smile and count your blessings - grab it!
