Album Notes

With influences such as Jimi Hendrix and Cream, it's no wonder Foster McGinty and his funk/rock vision earn the title of "power trio." The music is a raw combination of colorfull riffs draped over funky grooves that entices a closet dancer to the floor. Lyrically, Foster has been described as Jimi Hendrix meets Woody Guthrie. He draws on everyday emotions and presents them through thought-provoking stories, told with illustrative words. Live shows are as compelling visually as they are musically--the energy shared on stage with drummer Rossen Nedelchev and bassist Trifon Dimitrov seems to project with the same intensity as the music. All three musicians share, smiles, laughs, and admiration as they take things to higher levels. Their jams display chemistry, musical capacity and diversity. Both Rossen and Trifon are schooled jazz musicians at the Brooklyn Music Conservatory and natives of Bulgaria. Together they build a strong backbone for McGinty’s imagination, vision and self taught technique.
