Album Notes

New York City based Fountainhead is ignoring the trends of today's music scene. You won't find turntables in their instrument cases, matching outfits in their wardrobe, a trendy cover song on the set list, or a "The" in front of their name. What you will find is a gimmick-less approach to straight-ahead rock and roll.
Since 2000, Fountainhead has been performing in respected area venues like Acme Underground and the Luna Lounge. By booking and promoting the band on their own, they have built a faithful fan base, as well as a confident stage presence. Early in 2003, they recruited a second guitarist to stimulate their sound before it got too comfortable.
Their dynamic influences and personalities have turned out to be the most valuable catalyst to their productive chemistry. Bassist Tommy Benitez worshipped at the church of 80's metal but maintains a quiet reservation onstage. Singer/Guitarist Colin McShane, on the other hand, has no problems getting loud and raw for his moody and grungy songwriting style. The latest addition, Carlos Rosello has not only brought new songs and a second guitar to the band, but also punk rock knowledge and an enthusiastic recording ethic. Finally, Frank Liranzo will beat his drums in honor of anyone with a temper.
When you put this four-part combination together, you get power chords and no floundering. You get true Rock & Roll songs about getting pissed off without the pretension. You get something to hum along with. You get hooked.

I'll never forget Fountainhead
author: James Hems
I saw this band at a place called Acme Underground, I was out with my girlfriend she notice that there were bands playing downstairs. That's where I first saw Fountainhead...WOW! Instant fan! These guys were so much fun to watch and listen to. These guys were great. The singer was outstanding, all my girlfriend could talk about was how good the drummer was,the guitar player, incredible and the bass player was smooth. I'm trying to find these guys, so I can see them again. I still listen to this CD all the time.

This band is a very good band with an obvious potential to be big time. The music is great and alot of fun. If you ever see these guys live, make sure to keep yours eyes on the drummer, although you may not want to take your eyes off of him.
