Modern compositional concepts and intensity of rhythm: that is what one can expect from this difficult to define group. High caliber musicianship, and a vast array of contorted theoretical concepts abound. Not technical for the sake of being technical, but extremely musical for the sake of transcending normality. The Fractured Dimension is made up of Alex Arellano on drums/percussion, Jerry Twyford on bass, and Jimmy Pitts on keyboards and piano. Ron Jarzombek, Marcel Coenen, Mikhal Caldwell, Tom "Fountainhead" Geldschlaeger, Aaron Roten (Super String Theory), Bill Bruce (ex-Shotgun Messiah), Brev Sullivan, and Brad Hull (Soblivios, ex-Forced Entry) will all be featured on guitar, along with Jim Shannon (trumpet), Joe Deninzon (violin), and Joshua Thomson (sax)--so expect some serious firepower to be unleashed.

Technically Astounding!
author: Jimmy P.
Wow..this really blew me away! Shockingly technical and pretty heavy at times, but also very laid back and relaxing with a lot of atmosphere & jazzy ambience. The songs don't really have a traditional structure at all and mostly just meander through various moods & textures but there's always an accessable touch that makes each song sound different from the next. The drumming is other-worldly, I've always been a huge fan of Alex Hernandez's drumming ..he was pretty crazy in Power Of Omens as well but here he really outdoes himself as do all the guest guitarists. The shred factor is well up into the red! But they keep things tasteful & memorable as well. Overall I'd reccomend this to anyone who likes technical metal, shred or prog and wants to amaze themselves. Things don't get any better than this. Can't wait for their next!

Simply amazing!! This guys kicks seroius ass!!!
author: Alban Mora Jimenez
The first time I played this CD my jaw dropped, I could not believe my ears. This guys have incredible compositional abilities, and also know their instruments like the palms of their hands. You can hear incredibly complex sections followed by symphonic passages, jazzy breaks, horns sections and even some ethnic parts. The guest guitar players do an incredible job as well, from solo full of feeling to insane shredding. There are almost no riffs thru the album, but they are not missed due to the richness of the music contained in the album. The term progressive avant-garde fusion fits this album all along. If you are into complex but soulful music, this album is for you!!!!

Prog Rockers show off and we like it!!
author: Scott P.
We were having a bit of a prog fix. You know, that urge that hits some of us now and then to listen to something out of the ordinary and new.
Enter, The Fractured Dimension, featuring members of Super String Theory and many many many many more (you’ll see what we mean). We stumbled across these guys on Myspace last night and were blown away. They have some great music, some videos, and not only that, but these guys are damn serious about their music. So much so, the even teach local and will be releasing instructional videos. Sweet. I’ve been needing to brush up on my theory of odd rhythm and board technique.
Seriously, check these guys out.
So yeah the band consists of Alex Arellano on drums and percussion, Jerry Twyford on bass, and Jimmy Pitts on keyboards and piano. They pretty much concentrate on technicality and as they put it, “Modern compositional concepts and intensity of rhythm: that is what one can expect from this difficult to define group. High caliber musicianship, and a vast array of contorted theoretical concepts abound. Not technical for the sake of being technical, but extremely musical for the sake of transcending normality.” I especially like the “for the sake of transcending normality” part. It makes me really happy. They also have a bunch of contributors. (see their myspace for a full list)
Well not only do these dudes jam some awesome music, they’re proactive about it too.
