"An Explosive Freestyle Rock n Roll Experience Not To Be Missed"
Emerging from the beaches of southern California, migrating to the mountains of central Idaho, now living in Reno, Nevada, still continuing their perpetual tour of the western U.S. Frame Of Mind is a band, whose very limits cannot be defined. Interweaving epic songwriting with improvisational exploration. Catchy melodies with groove drivin rhythems. Thoughtful lyrics with skilled instrumentaion. Their eclectic sound is best appreciated in their extended musical excursions that highlight the very essence of live music. Frame Of Mind is a band not to be missed.
Having toured throughout the west successfully, playing more than 200 shows a year for the past 6 years, FOM is quickly climbing the list of must see modern day traveling rock bands. FOM's music is enjoyed by a wide variey of people. Their love of traveling, meeting new people and seeing new places, along with their dedication to music are reasons why the band has been successful and able to endure the test of time.
Infusing elements from a wide variety of styles including: funk, rock, reggae, Latin, fusion, psychedelic, blues and more. The unique combination makes for a danceable live music experience that is widely dynamic, diverse and enjoyed by most people.
Dave Terpeny with KyndMusic / RightAction says, "This Northwest band's third album, Catch it Try, is an interesting grab bag of 13 tunes, all of which provide ample evidence that Josh Scott (vocals, harmonica, sax, flute, keys), Obie Scott (vocals, guitars), Nimai Pickup (vocals, bass) and Fletch (drums) are talented performers. Especially noteworthy are the fluid sounds of Obie Scott's very animated guitar riffs and solos."
FOM has played shows with:Galactic, Soulive, New Monsoon, Particle, Rocco Delucca, Young Dubiner's, The Mother Hips, Levon Helm Band, John Brown's Body, Delta Nove, Blue Turtle Seduction, The Flux, Sol Jibe, Groundation, Jerry Joseph & The Jackmormon's, North Mississippi All Stars, Greyboy All Stars & more. Josh Scott was recently asked to sit in with Umphrey's McGee in Reno, NV.
