Blues: from Italy? Oh, yes!
author: Les Reynolds
Now, here's a name you don't hear every day. Francesca De Fazi. Blueswoman? In Italy? Apparently so. Francesca sings with incredible passion and gritty conviction. She's got punch and power. She's pretty good with a guitar, too--including some nice slide work in the mix. Her accent is so thick, you can cut it with a knife--but that is part of her soulful, sensual charm. Her energy and personality just make you listen to her; it comes through on the CD (One can only imagine what her live shows are like!) She even takes pop songs and turns them into blues numbers. Francesca's CD is fearless and full of life! Vivacious! Yes!

Powerful, soulful voice and affectionate tone, one can't seem to wonder what technicalities are stopping Miss De Fazi from being our next queen of the Blues...
