Francesco Attesti's piano playing is unusual. Everything that happens in the sound, in the phrasing and in the musical conception starts from an aesthetic and musical conviction and it brings the performance out of every formal and consumistic prevision".

Album Notes

Born in Cortona, Italy, pianist Francesco Attesti qualified at the Conservatory “L. Cherubini” in Florence, and continued his studies at the “Sommerakademie Mozarteum” in Salzburg and Rome with Sergio Perticaroli, the “Gubbio Festival” with Jacques Rouvier, and in Florence with Hector Moreno. Mr. Attesti quickly distinguished himself, winning numerous prizes in many piano competitions. For a third year, Attesti has been awarded a sponsorship for young talents from the “Ursula Ströher Stiftung” of Basel, Switzerland. Currently, he is presenting a rigorous concert program, performing in the most important concert halls throughout Europe (Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom) and North America (USA and Canada). The public and critics alike have unanimously acclaimed Attesti as a great classical concert performer and a brilliant, refined interpreter of early music and the romantic repertoire. He has recorded classical and contemporary music for different television stations and CD labels. Included have been many world premiere performances of works by important composers.
