In 1991 he debuted as the principal vocalist for the orchestra “Sonoridad Latina”. He was also the vocalist for the acclaimed spectacle “Timba Suicida” in the Hotel Habana Libre in the city of La Habana, Cuba. In 1994 he became the vocalist for the band “Calle 42” making appeareances in many festivals and venues around Cuba and Brazil. He then, in the year 1996, became the vocalist for the group “Atache Habana” touring some of the most prestigious venues in the island of Cuba like “La Giraldilla”, “La Cecilia”, “La Casa de la Musica”. They toured through Colombia; and were featured guests in the city’s annual festival in Cali and Barranquilla. In the year 2000, Francis also participated as guest vocalist in many concerts including the “Anniversary Celebration Concert” of the orchestra “NG La Banda”. He has also performed live with the band “Sintesis” at the Grand Innaguration Ceremony for the “Cubadisco Awards”, also performed with “Los Van Van” at thier Grammy Award Celebration for the Grammy they had won that year.
Francis del Rio has also worked as a guest vocalist in studio recording and live shows with some amazing cuban musicians such as: Bobbi and Roberto Carcasses, X Alfonso, and Carlos Alberto Cartaya.
He recorded the album “Mambo Mambito” with producers Descemer Bueno and Roberto Carcasses.
In Cuba he has also appears as an invited vocalist at various festivals, concerts, and venues throughout the island like at the Latin American Film Festival in Havana, and The Grand Concert in commemoration of Bobbi Carcasse’s 40th Anniversary of a legendary Artistic Career. Francis is also a co-author for the 2002 Latin Grammy nomminated song “Dilo Como Yo” writen a par with Carlos Alfonso interpreted by Mario Rivera for the group “Sintesis”.
Right now Francis is part of the very succesful band "Interactivo" where he composes some of the songs performed the group alongside Yusa, William Vivanco, and Telmary under the direction of Roberto Carcasses.

This one is so delicious since it mixes so many different latin and cuban rhythms with lots of funk and electronica influences that put a really cool spin on a lot of the tracks and make it super fun to listen to.
