This CD was professionally recorded by Rocky Mountain Studios, who brought in professional mobile recording equipment into Frank Bright\'s Living Room to record this CD. Frank Bright plays a Yamaha C-5 grand piano.
Frank Bright intentionally goes for a direct, yet elegant style. \"I aspire towards a quiet magic that can capture the melody in all its beauty...\"
His reflections about this CD: \"I didn\'t always play jazz standards, so when I came into this genre, part of my frustration was that there were few, if any, artists who played the melody with enough directness so that I could even identify the tune being played. These melodies stand on their own and while it\'s certainly cool to play like Oscar Peterson, that\'s not what I\'m striving for. These melodies have long since earned their place in the sun and they deserve to be expressed as close as possible to how they were conceived by the original Songwriter.\"
Music was an important part of life early on for Frank Bright. The sounds of his father’s piano and fiddle playing could often be heard emanating from the family home in East Tennessee. It was only natural then when Frank started playing piano at the age of eight. He continued to nurture his love of music, and by his teenage years, Frank was also playing the guitar and dobro. Later in Atlanta, Frank started his music career playing piano for private parties and restaurants, including stints at the Sounds of Buckhead and Marchello’s Italian Restaurant. His professional credentials also include studying jazz composition at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Now a resident of Savannah, Georgia, Frank continues to charm audiences with his elegant piano stylings.
