Album Notes

"THIS IS SOME OF THE BEST CLARINET PLAYING YOU WILL EVER HEAR. TECHNICALLY PERFECT."

Dave Liebman

Hi everyone. I hope you dig Siamese Twins. Claude plays some unbelievable piano stuff on it! Feel free to e-mail me and let me know what you think. Write a review, too! I just got picked up by Buffet-Crampon this month, playing their Elite clarinet. It's awesome.

Here's what they're saying about Siamese Twins....

"Mastery of the clarinet as a contemporary instrument. Incandescent runs reminiscent of the best of Eddie Daniels are combined with emotive colors of free players like Don Byron or the late John Carter."

Tom Jacobsen, The International Clarinet

"Frank Glover is a superb clarinetist. I hear him in the realm of Eddie Daniels.
Eddie has raised jazz clarinet quite a few notches to a higher technical and intellectual level. And, I feel Frank has done the same. Siamese Twins is a most enjoyable CD. It showcases Frank's abilities as a leading jazz clarinetist."

Buddy DeFranco

"One of the brightest new stars of the clarinet today"

Eddie Daniels

Frank Glover's short bio:

Frank just finished recording the soundtrack for Globe pictures' "Out of Exhile" and will be performing the opening concert for the international clarinet conference in New Orleans in August.

National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Performance Award 1996

New York City debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall 1996

His second CD "Something Old, Something New: music for clarinet and orchestra" was voted in the top ten Indiana jazz recording of all time along with Freddie Hubbard and Wes Montgomery.

"Siamese Twins" is currently receiving the highest ratings from trade magazines around the world

Frank is Fabulous
author: G. Scott FitzGibbon
I was exceedingly lucky to walk into the Chatterbox last Spring and hear this dynamic duo - what a great treat. Frank was playing Tenor that night and I enjoyed their playing immensely! On clarinet he is truly among the very best ever. A sweetheart of a person too. If you appreciate creative music, you will love this CD - pick up Frank's others too - Something Old, Something New and his latest - Politico. Now we just need him to go on tour and let the whole world know about him!

Frank Glover is God
author: Shawn Plonski-Pinkus
Clarinetists everywhere drop their jaws, cry, and go back to their practice rooms when they hear this CD. Jazz musicians say, "Who is this? Damn. And the piano player- Claude Sifferlen- WOW!" Frank sounds like Dave Liebman meets Michael Brecker meets Robert Marcellus. I love you, Frank!!

Nothing Compares to this amazing display of Jazz Communication
author: Collin Ruud
I have to say, I am quite lucky to be living in Indianapolis and having the chance to go to some of their free nights at the Jazz Kitchen and the Chatterbox to hear their amazing playing. They have achieved a level of communication through the years that is totally unmatched except by the greats (Miles with Cannonball and Trane, for example), where you can hear them leading off of one another with amazing versatility. It is so smooth. I cannot say enough good about this CD. From the great combination of jazz strings and the duet to the solid tunes with just Frank and Claude, you will find yourself in an entirely new jazz dimension. What a great gift they give to Indianapolis by providing a musically growing city with such a high standard. Remarkable.
