Album Notes

This album is a complete culmination of six years spent trying to find myself in a world that seemed lost. Coming from a town where country music is "all that matters," finding a sound of my own proved to be bitter sweet. Always believing in the words of Kurt Cobain, Eddie Vedder, and Bob Dylan, I knew there had to be a way to escape the sound of the South and create something all my own. With heartfelt expression, I was trying to find my own voice and stand behind it with all my heart. From the heartfelt, bitter words of 'Here I Am' to the powerful Beck-type influenced 'Water Seems Tasteless', all I have tried to do is express the beauty and pain the world has shown me. With beautiful love songs like 'Moonlight' and 'You Take Me Away' it is easy to find the happiness and grace within the world and myself. With songs like 'Off The Top of my Head', 'Let Me Sing', and 'Make believe' it's hard to see any type of pain about anything. All I have tried to do is make an album that is as truthful to myself as it is beautiful to those who hear it. This is my heart.
