"Frank Swings" is my first release of original material. Prior to the recording sessions of November 2010, the project had been on the "drawing board" for about three years. These songs have been tested repeatedly on audiences during my live performances. I found that as much as listeners enjoy hearing the time-tested "classic" standards (Fly Me to the Moon, Night and Day, Beyond the Sea) there was often a greater reaction for a solid performance of one of my originals.

"In the quick-tempoed sections, a confidently brash Sinatra or Bobby Darin style is embraced, though not slavishly or self-consciously.
