Born on 19.07.1977 in Kempten, Germany, he started his musical history 1985 with piano playing. The eight year old guy, which ancestors paternal stem from france, has firstly lessons at private teachers, until he visits the grammar school after the basic school. So the search begins for another instrument, that creates him more fun aside of any course of instruction.
After hearing AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” it is clear. A guitar hits the spot! Sounds great and looks extremely cool!! On a borrowed classical guitar he starts on the age of 14 his first steps on guitar. When Frank gets his first electric guitar (Chevy Strat-copy) one year later, the evolution takes it’s way. Theoretic and basic principles and certain sleight of hand, conditionally of playing piano are already present. So Frank learns the play of own initiative by emulate his heroes.
Bit by bit his play developes, embossed by his heroes. After several school bands developes 1995 with Mantragora the first serious formation. At that time Frank’s activity as a guitar teacher begins. After Mantragora some stations follow (amongst others a Blues Band) until 1998 the formation Red to Grey (R2G) was established.
Red to Grey consists for the most part of musicians which are known in the southern German music scene. The band consequently gets a musical level, none of Frank’s bands achieved by then. You could describe the style of the band as progressive/technical Thrash/Power Metal. With the two releases: 1998 “Circle of pain” (mini-cd, own production) and 2000 “Wrath of the weak” (Black Arrow / Point Music) as well as many live gigs the Band received a sound name with the scene fans. At the same time Frank has an engagement at the Rockcoverband Cover-X. A return to his primal admissions and a melodical style deliver him 2002 to leave R2G.
In 2002 Frank joins the Power Metal Band Valley’s Eve and releases with this band the album “Deception of pain” (LMP / SPV). The third and last disc of the band achieved worldwide well reviews and plays amongst others on Chania rock Festival on Crete infront of 2000 enthusiastic fans. Also in 2002 Frank sets up the Deep Purple / Rainbow Cover-Band with some friends of the old Cover-Rock-times. At the end of 2002 Burn records a Live-Promotion-CD and performs in the following three years a couple of acclaimed gigs. Till the End of 2005 Frank isochronal performs with the Rock-Coverband Tribute. With the number of guitar students still raising Frank decides to leave Tribute to concentrate on Burn and writing material for his first solo Instrumental CD.
At the end of 2006 Frank reunites with his former band Red to Grey and contributes some lead guitars and keyboard to their 2008 release “Admissions” (Bad Land Records/Twilight) . Frank also can be heard with the german Horror Metal band Solemnity on their latest release “Lords of the damned”. The begin of 2009 finally sees the release of Frank’s first instrumental record, called “Liquid Emotions”. The CD shows a diverse collection of songs from dreamy guitar ballads to “good-time” rock tunes to more progressive 7-string compositions.....
