Stefano started to study mandolin with Sergio Gandini and Corrado Celada at the "Gino Neri School for plectrum and plucked instruments" of Ferrara. He continued as a self-taught musician later attaining a diploma for mandolin at the Conservatory "C. Pollini" of Padova. Member of the "Quartetto a plettro ferrarese" and of the "Orchestra a plettro Gino Neri", he has performed concerts in Europe, United States and Japan. He plays with a mandolin of Gabriele Pandini made in 1993.
Franco got the guitar school music degree in the Conservatorio di musica "G.Frescobaldi" of Ferrara with Roberto Frosali collecting the maximum consensus in 1986. He further followed master courses with Alvaro Company in Firenze and Oscar Ghiglia at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. He has a great musical experience both as soloist and with several camera ensembles gaining general consensus playing for important musical association in Italy and abroad. He played with an Alan Wilcox eight strings guitar of the 1976.
The Duo, active since 1985, has performed several concerts receiving positive consensus. It attended the Alassio International prize for plucked strings instruments in 1992 and the Ferrara one in 1994 ranking respectively 2nd and 3rd places. Stefano and Franco are members of the "Gino Neri" plucked string Orchestra of Ferrara since 1976.
