Tori and the boys rocked the house in Hermosa

Saw Freak Juice at Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa on September 22, 2006. We had our own private show of old Prince and Time covers until the crowd picked up. Tori, Charlie and new drummer, Lawrence were excellent. They blended jazz, funk, R&B, reggae and a little hip hop perfectly. Their original material rocked and you can hear it on Juice maker, a great cd. The best was an 80's funk medley of Prince, Time, Rick James, Marley, you name it-flawlessly improvised. Tori had a few brews with us and even gave me the guitar tab to the Time classic, 777-9311! Thanks Tori! Hope to see you tour through Iowa some day.

A new fetish for me

Saw them at The Roxy and had to have the CD. In two days I've listened to it 4 times already. The music on this CD is so fresh, the musicianship is astounding. I hear jazz and Jimi, but with a unique sound that no one else has. My favorite tunes are Fetish and Trippin', but I'm a foxy lady from the 60s and it's not unusual I would love trippin' and fetish. Can't wait to see them again!
