Album Notes

FREDDY HOLCOMB Freddy was born and raised in the small town of Howe,Texas. He took an early interest in gospel and country music. In his senior year in high school he began performing and by the time he was a freshman in college he began to open shows at local events for such legends as Floyd Tillman and Al Dexter. For the next two years,Freddy opened for most of the major acts that were booked to appear at the Big "D" Jamboree in Dallas such as George Jones, Lefty Frizzell, Rose Maddox, Porter Wagoner, Bill Anderson, and other successful stars of country music. With a teaching degree in hand, Freddy began to teach and later became a Director of Special Education for the public schools in Grayson County, Texas. During this time, Freddy was still never far away from entertaining. He performed at local events either as a solo artist or as a band member. Children grown and ready for a change, Freddy made his way to Nashville, He appeared several times at Fan Fair to sign autographs for his latest project, recorded and just networked with other entertainers. He has been priviledged to sing at the Nashville Palace where Randy Travis began his career and also at the legendary Tootsie's on Broadway as well as The Stage and The Bluegrass Inn. Recently, he even appeared on the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree. He is currently working full time in the music business writing songs, booking artists, opening shows for some well known artists and providing recording sessions for other artists who have a dream similar to his own.
