In a time where it seems everybody is recording a song and putting them up on myspace it may seem hard for a new artist to stand out in the crowd. But frederick daniel strives on being different from the rest, often compared to artist like chris brown, usher, marques houston. Frederick daniel brings a new sexy energy to the pop music scene with his smooth vocals and his high energy. Frederick daniel looks to become the next prince of the pop world. Born may 29th 1985 in columbus, ohio frederick daniel was around music at a very young age, his mother grew up in a music family with singers such as whitney houston, dionne warwick, cissy houston, the drinkard brothers, the drinkard singers. His father also was around music for majority of his life. His aunt is claudette robinson ex wife of smokey robinson and former member of smokey robinson and the miracles. Frederick daniel's father signed a major label deal with epic records in the late 80's-early 90's and even hit the billboard top 100 with his single blueberry jill. So the pressure to be great is huge on frederick daniel's shoulders. Frederick daniel began his music career at the young age of 6 as one of the members of the all brother trio group dna along with his brothers kl and sharmaine, being the youngest he was often pushed to the side as if he couldnt hang which only made him work harder to prove that could. But his mother felt that he should concentrate on school and he did until his freshman year in high school at the age of 16 when he and his brother kl decided to restart the group dna with close friend jasaun and cousin sean cris in 2001. They recorded with former laface records producer toby rivers and toured cities such as philly, new jersey, new york, kansas city, atlanta. But the group hit an emotional road block when group member and cousin sean cris died in a car crash in april 2007. The group would never recover. It was at that point where frederick daniel made the hardest decision in his life by not returning to the group he had invested 7 years of his life in and by quiting music all together. For 3 months frederick daniel wrestled with his emotions when he decided to get back into music by becoming a songwriter for other aritst but in his first studio session he recorded a song called walk like a model and made him sit back and realize his talents as an solo artist. He jumped into the studio with a new energy to record his debut album "love/hurt" which was released july 2008 which received underground success. Now with his sophmore album being released may 26th 2009 he stepped his game up becoming fully independent (truly indie) with his own record label lenaeni records his own management and his own music publishing company lenaeni music publishing/ascap. He got together with producers cory bold, xv, fd trizaks, tech productions to put together an album that is truly amazing. The album will be titled "incredible" and will hit stores may 26th 2009.
