Album Notes

I was born just outside of Philadelphia and moved around the country quite a bit growing-up. Not an army brat--I just had the kind of parents that were always looking to further their careers so that we all could have a better life.

Growing-up as a latch-key kid, I learned early-on how to be creative with my time. My best friend and I would sometimes act-out and do things like pick flowers from neighbors' backyards and then go door-to-door, selling them back to those neighbors as freshly cut arrangements. I think it was during this time that I began to see the fun in breaking all the rules once in a while.

High school brought the typical problems of puberty. I mostly avoided social situations (outside of my 3 closest friends) and delved into the world of theatre. I'd found my calling, and I spent nearly every waking moment of my high school years taking acting, singing and dance classes...as well as working part-time jobs to pay for them! I ended-up being chosen as a scholarship dancer at Clark Dance Center in NYC, having to lie about my age to be old enough to qualify. A life in entertainment was definitely ahead of me.

After college, I toiled away in the corporate world and lived paycheck to paycheck. Paying-off college loans and not knowing how I would ever find a way to pursue my singing career became my two big concerns, and for years I struggled. Until, by chance, I began go-go dancing at clubs in NYC.

My talents as a professional dancer helped land me my first booking, and for the rest of my time on Wall Street, I lived a double life: Brooks-Brothers-suit-wearing corporate trainer by day, dancing in clubs and bars at night. Not only was it fun, but it allowed me the extra money to go into the recording studio and start producing my music.

From there, I've been able to transition into a freelance consultant as well as pursue my career full-time as a recording artist. In late 2003, OMC Records signed me to a contract, and I have been writing and fine-tuning my sound for the past year.

In June of 2004, I took stock of where I was in life and realized that since the major record labels, who I'd dreamed of being signed-to, were only looking for Britney/Justin clones, I would have to ultimately make my own career without them. Not having to worry about what corporate-America thought of me anymore gave me the freedom to (pardon the overused phrase) "step outside the box" and find ways to make a name for myself and begin getting press for me and my music.

Having the connections from the clubs, I began to work as an adult film model and have already achieved my goal of getting press---I was nominated as "Best Newcomer" of the Year for the GAYVN Awards and Grabby Awards (the adult industry's awards ceremonies).

In the spring of '05, my debut EP, "Dirty Little Secret," was released and has gone on to sell in nine countries. Then in the September of '05 my first single, "Too Funky," was released off this EP and spent 8 weeks on the Billboard Dance Chart. One month later, NARAS announced that "Dirty Little Secret" and "Too Funky" had made it to the Grammy Nominating Final Ballot and were up for Grammy Nominations for, respectively, "Best Electronic/Dance Album" and "Best Dance Recording (Single)" for 2005! "Too Funky" is currently in rotation on more than 75 radio stations across the U.S.

Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, and I appreciate you coming along for the journey of what comes next. Enjoy my debut EP "Dirty Little Secret"....

This is a fantastic dance CD! I just bought one through Fredrick's home page and was blown away when I popped it in my car's stereo system. It's really cutting edge and the beats are phenominal. I can't wait to hear Fredrick's first single of "Too Funky" and its mixes when it comes out! If anyone is reading this, all I can say is: buy this CD. It's a must-have.
