The debut C.D 'Mother Earth' features 8 well-crafted songs written and performed by Mike and his band. The songs were penned during several years of both musical and personal exploration and feature Freedman's husky vocals and carefully crafted acoustic guitar work. The songs combine strong melodic song writing with an infusion of pop and blues and a world music edge.
The title track has earned honourable mention in the John Lennon Songwriting competition, while the second track, "Only Human" has been featured in an episode of Dawson's Creek.
