Lance Motogawa: Artist / Songwriter / Producer.
A native to the beautiful islands of Hawaii, Lance resides on the island also known as " the "Gathering Place", Oahu. He began his musical interest at the age of nine. In the 80's Lance teamed up with a local musical/dance group called, " Club Rox Rock", and released a Rap C.D. entitled, " Hyped, Dope , Def and Direct". He contributed either musically or lyrically to 10 of 11 cuts on the album. Two of the cuts that he played a major role in writing 1) This is A Party 2) L.O.V.E were played in heavy rotation on the radio. This was Lance's first contribution to the music world.
Lance is also a commercial jingles songwriter and has contributed musically to various documentaries, long and short form. He is currently still working with local television stations and advertising agencies.
His songs are diverse in style and subject matter. Lance co-wrote a song with one of Hawaii's premier groups Kalapana, the Blue Album, which won best rock album in Hawaii's 2003 Hoku awards.
