Album Notes

An intense blend of powerful driving rock grooves and raw acoustic progressions featuring dynamic vocals, smokin' guitar solos, cool sax riffs, and funk inspired bass lines.

If you enjoy a variety of rock styles, you'll love the diversity of this 17 track CD! (TRANSLATION: Don't just listen to the first track...they don't all sound like 'Honey'.)

"One of the greatest multi-instrumentalists of our era!"

The 'simple' story rev 0.1

It was the summer of 1998 and my heavy progressive rock band [Breaking Doubt] got burned out. I had been getting into more acoustic stuff at the time and already had some newer, less heavy tunes recorded, so I decided to write a few more songs and throw together a solo CD. Many of the tracks on the CD are one night writing/recording sessions originally meant to be scratch tracks that I ended up using as they were to preserve their original vibe. Others are more polished and produced. Some are somewhere in between. All in all, simple is simply a collection of whatever happened to happen at the time. After a second round of mastering, 'simple' became 'simple rev 1' which was released on CD in the summer of 1999. As time flew by, the year 2003 came around. It was decided that not enough of the world got a chance to hear 'simple rev 1', so it needed to be re-released. Threw on a couple of tunes that were recorded shortly after the release of 'rev 1', updated the CD artwork, and after 4 rounds of mastering, 'simple rev 2' became 'simple rev 2.3' and that's what you've got here. Be on the lookout for 'simple rev 3.x' sometime in the future, or not...

Absolutely Awesome!

This album makes you remember what GOOD music is all about. Trevor is a master on the guitar and the production quality on this CD is superior. Every track is a delicious feast for your ears making it hard to pick a favorite. I'd probably pick "Water" but they all kick ass. While Trevor has a sound truly all his own, you can hear bits of Primus, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice in Chains, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rob Zombie, and even a bit of Tool just to name a few. I'd love to see this guy play live and I can't wait for the next album. A perfect 17!

If I was ClearChannel, I'd force this down radio-listeners throats

Heavy funk bass meets progressive rock. The combination works very well; it's a refreshing sound. It makes you want to dance, and headbang at the same time. Mr. Frenzell definitely has the chops. And check out the lyrics. There's a sprinkling of made-up words here and there(or I'm not hip to some lingo). Made for a good chuckle. Very glad I discovered it this disc.

This is a bad ass album. Totally different from all the s@#t out there today. I listened to it and then bought it. My fav trac would be "Smoke And Mirrors", but they all rock your lame ass. So, don't be a pussy, check this out.
