„Superstrings“, the first album from the Austrian acoustic guitar trio FRESCH was published in september 2007. 12 songs are on the CD, love songs (Be my woman tonight, Give me more, Heavy rain, All in one & that`s you, She, You say, Keeps me going) besides songs about the life of musicians (My world my life, Richest man) and about life in general (Times have changed, A new song). The acoustic (western) guitar is the main instrument of the band, all pieces are played with three (sometimes more) acoustic guitars and three (or more) male voices. Of course the musicians used the technical possibilities of a recording studio and so on some tracks you can hear electric guitars, mandoline, bass and drums.Robert Polsterer demonstrates in the final piece „Schlußpfiff“ - which can be translated as „Final whistle“ - his love to overtone singing.
The music is pure, honest, handmade, fresh and filled with a special kind of energy and joy. Each of the artists - Erich „Esch“ Schacherl, Robert Polsterer and Florian Kargl – has a special kind of guitar playing and singing, together this creates this special kind of music amd the sound of FRESCH.
