Album Notes

Fresh Cut Salads is a 5-piece "pop-secret" band centered in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Salads' music is instantly affable, and once you hear it...well you may or may not want to hear it again. Or maybe you just wont care; however, this is unlikely.

We pride ourselves in being either instantly cherished, or shunned permanently, as we tend to base our "creative" philosophy around the concept of never backing down from a bad idea. Thus, we have found ourselves affixed to many grueling band traditions (such as playing a completely different version of the same song, "Intro," at the beginning of every single show). Fresh Cut Salads is a glittering concoction of abusive self-deprecation and near-crippling egotism.

Vitamin Sea will indulge the listener's hunger with 14 beautifully produced masterpieces.

Reade handed me a copy of V.S. (the cool way of writing it) and I was like "What the hell is this?" I've known R. for about a year and a half and had no idea he was into music, let alone a band for Christ's sake! With wild-eyed anticipation I put it in my car cd player and within the first cycle of play... I was an instant fan. And this isn't the usual "love a band because you know someone in it" BS. Four out of five of you have great talent. (Joking about the four out of five thing, just wanted to cause tension and chaos amongst the members as they decide who to cut loose...) But seriously, since Thursday, I have listened to your album 10 times. The three vocal sounds are excellent, when combined or alone. I can tell you all put your blood, sweat, and tears into this album. I am looking forward to anything new you release. ::bowing:: -Russ Oh, and my favourite moment on the album: 0:38 seconds into Bunch of Eyes... the keyboard... brilliant...

Did not let me down

Well, the very first song I heart was Important Sandwich, and I thought to myself, wow, these guys have humor AND creativity. Hey look, I wrote "heart" instead of "heard," and I'm gonna keep it that way. My subconscious knew exactly what I meant. Anyway, I just had to watch the I.S. video and watch another one. And then I just had to buy the CD. Next time I'm in Bryn Athyn, I will do my damndest to get to a live concert.

Ok, first ... just click on the samples. They tell the best story of all. Great harmony, delicious quirkiness / genius, perfectly pulled off. Just lots and lots of fun and talent with a new surprise on every track.

The best album I'll ever hear.
author: Plathor Filander
Vitamin Sea is the kind of album you won't need to listen to more than once to appreciate it's genius, but you will because you want to. The tracks string together what makes for an inventive and original listening experience, while also being accessible and easy listening as individual songs.
