Album Notes

Freshwater Collins was recently named winners of the Lucky Strike Band-to-Band Combat competition. As a result, they appeared on a nationally distributed compilation album that has shipped 100,000 copies. Ads proclaiming their victory were run in both Rolling Stone and SPIN magazine. On the touring front, the band has consistently drawn large crowds throughout the Midwest, at venues such as The House of Blues, The Double Door, Nashville River Stages and Summerfest, and their pull and name recognition in the city of Milwaukee is unparalled amongst unsigned original acts. Freshwater Collins has opened for Robert Plant, Galactic, Jerry Garcia Band, and the Big Wu just to name a few.

Freshwater Collins' latest release, Lean Back, has recently received airplay on the following stations: WXRT in Chicago, WIBA and WMAD in Madison, WI, WLZR and WMSE in Milwaukee, WI, WILL in southeastern Wisconsin and many college radio stations throughout the Midwest. The album was engineered by Mike Baehler of Less Than Jake fame, and mixed by Larry Sturm, who has mixed and produced platinum sellers Michael Jackson, INXS, Prince, and DMX.

Freshwater Collins was recently signed to national booking company Degy Booking International. Check out www.freshwatercollins.com or www.degy.com to see if they might be in YOUR area soon!

This band is good. This is solid, hard, southern rock. Shit this good doesn't happen often. Chris Vos' voice is powerful, and what initially drags you into their music – it’s the incredible talent of all four members that oozes from the CD player through your body that keeps you coming back for more. I can't even fathom what a live show must be like. Astounding.
