Album Notes

A versatile and experienced guitarist, Stephen Fricker uses an exciting mix of styles and instruments to present this collection of Christmas guitar favorites. Mr. Fricker's many years of experience in rock bands, country bands, folk groups, jazz combos, and theatre orchestras have provided him with the ability to feel comfortable in a wide range of musical genres. In addition to acoustic and electric six and twelve-string guitars, he uses a wide variety of other stringed instruments to create a musical feast for the ears...electric and acoustic basses, charango, banjo, tiple, dulcimer, dobro, ukulele, mandolin, autoharp, and more! This CD is a treat for any lover of Christmas music. Mr. Fricker currently performs regularly with his wife, well-known singer-songwriter Patricia Shih, who sings on three of the tracks. Together they have performed at thousands of venues across North America from clubs and festivals to schools and libraries. They have appeared at Madison Square Garden, hosted a daily children's TV show in New York, and shared stages with many well-known acts. Mr. Fricker has also guested on CDs by a number of other artists and teaches guitar in his home base of Huntington, New York.
