ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Friday's Veil creates original Christian music with a southern / classic-rock feel, and blends in today's popular contemporary Christian song influences - to offer an exciting mix of uplifting, family-friendly, God-focused music.. Though each of the band members played in successful secular groups for many years, they each have experienced personal life tragedies that led them to focus on glorifying God and not themselves through their music & personal testimonies. They now devote their time and energy to helping those in need through charity, missions, church, not-for-profit, and other worthwhile concert events.

"Lifted" is their third CD and reveals the uniqueness of each of the band members within every song - as all of them started as an individual idea, notes, chords, lyrics, etc - and were collectively molded together into unique songs that sound and feel very different from one another. As a result, those who are seeking to avoid a CD where every song sounds exactly the same will find "Lifted" to be an answer to their prayers.

The title track "Lifted" reminds us that the love of God is amazing grace, and that He lifts us higher than the mountains in the sky and guides us through the storms of life. If we trust in Him and seek to see His face, He will return someday to take us to the home that He is preparing for those who trust and believe in Him through faith in Christ.

"Save Me" reminds us that there is more to life than just being good or occasionally helping one another, and that we cannot do all that we are called to do without first being right with God ourselves. This song cries out for us to be saved, for our hearts to be changed, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and to be more like Christ. It reminds us that this gift is offered freely to all who call upon His name - and challenges those who have accepted the gift to freely share it with others as well.

"Come To Me" is about seeking to be in God's presence daily, not by following blindly but by faith and calling out His name in prayer and worship. Though God is always with us, a wavering faith during difficult times can sometimes make us feel alone and wondering if He is there. The words "Come To Me" remind us of this challenge, while also recognizing that He is forever present - and that with Him is where we want to be.

"Mystery" seeks to recognize the mystery of a God who loves his people so much that He would give His one and only son to take upon himself the sins of the world through His crucifixion, death and resurrection. The song asks God to search our sin filled hearts, and to reveal to us His ways. It praises Him for loving us through the outstretched arms of his son's sacrifice.

We hope you will love the newest CD from Friday's Veil and will seek to hear more from this band - as they seek to share the good news of hope in a world that desperately needs it, and to help the least of these in the process.
